@广州市民：您的自来水由“无废工厂”生产，不仅产水还间接产砖

自来水厂生产什么产品？许多市民可能第一时间想到“自来水”。除了为市民供应优质自来水，在“无废工厂”理念下自来水厂还能间接生产环保砖。记者2月26日从广州水投自来水公司获悉，由该公司运营的南洲水厂，近日成功通过广州市生态环境局海珠分局审核评估，正式认定为“无废工厂”。让生产过程中的废弃物得到循环利用，并管控好危险废弃物，是南洲水厂被认定为“无废工厂”的关键。
据悉，自来水的生产流程，主要为将取自取水点的原水按照自来水生产要求加工成合格自来水。在生产过程中，伴随原水到达自来水厂的砂土杂质，将在沉淀、过滤等工序中被析出，化作余泥。对于生产过程中产生的余泥，南洲水厂目前委托具备资质的服务单位进行余泥外运及资源化处置工作，有效促进余泥资源的利用与转化。余泥通过二次生产可加工成为环保砖，不仅为建筑行业提供可持续性原材料，还可以减少土壤资源的损耗。自来水在生产过程中以及日常实验中，均需要使用药剂；废弃的药剂属于危险废弃物，不妥善的存放或使用可能带来环境问题。南洲水厂通过设置专门的危险废物贮存间，采用物理隔断方式对危险废弃物进行分类、分段存储，确保危险废弃物存放的安全性和规范性；贮存间布局在远离厂区办公和生产区域的位置，从源头上降低污染风险，有效构筑危险废物“隔离墙”。
据悉，广州水投自来水公司将继续坚持绿色发展理念，全面深化绿色清洁生产工作，持续完善固废危废管理机制，提升固废危废管理精细化水平，为“无废城市”建设提供有效助力，也为供水事业的高质量发展增添一抹“绿”。
