印尼工业部提议暂时停止或暂停椰子原果的出口，这是因为印尼国内椰子的价格上涨厉害，而价格上涨的原因是出口太多，导致国内需求供应不足。
工业部农业产业总司长普图·朱利·阿尔迪卡（Putu Juli Ardika）表示，此提议是为了应对本地椰子加工业所面临的原材料供应短缺问题。
他认为，椰子管理政策必须尽快制定，因为原材料短缺已经影响到工业活动的可持续性，并导致裁员。
“在与各部委/机构的协调会议上，我们提出实施椰子原果出口暂停的建议，作为短期解决方案（3-6 个月），以稳定国内供应，”普图在3月21日的官方声明中表示。
除了暂停出口外，工业部还建议对椰子原果及其衍生产品征收出口税，并制定对农民和工业具有合理回报的原材料价格标准。
“这一缓解措施预计将增加原材料供应，并使国内飞涨的椰子价格恢复正常，”普图补充道。
工业部还提议，未来椰子出口税收资金由种植基金管理机构（BPDP）管理，其收益将返还给农民，以维护农民的福祉。
“返还形式包括椰子种植生产力提升计划、农业经营活动强化、农村椰子加工业务赋能，以及综合椰子加工产业生态系统的发展，”他总结道。
此前，贸易部长布迪·桑托索（Budi Santoso）承认，由于出口需求旺盛，国内椰子原果供应有限。
这种情况导致国内市场价格上涨，甚至在最近一段时间内涨幅高达50%。
“椰子的出口需求确实很大，而国内工业也有很高的需求。因此，由于大量出口，国内工业有时难以获取供应，这就是问题所在，”布迪在3月21日于雅加达市中心贸易部接受采访时表示。
近期，一些商贩抱怨椰子供应难以获得，而价格却飙升。
最初，椰子在商贩处的价格约为10,000印尼盾，但现在已上涨至每颗15,000印尼盾，并预计在开斋节前夕继续大幅攀升。
位于雅加达中部森纳市场（Pasar Senen）的一名椰子商贩努尔·莱拉（Nur Laela，50 岁）表示，目前椰子价格已涨至每颗15,000印尼盾，并预计在开斋节前夕可能涨至25,000印尼盾至35,000印尼盾。
她认为，这次价格暴涨不仅仅是因为斋月，而是因为出口导致国内供应短缺。
“我的老板说，来自苏门答腊的椰子没有运往爪哇，而是出口到了马来西亚，所以供应困难。这次涨价并不是因为开斋节或斋月，而是三个月前就已经开始上涨了，”她在3月18日接受采访时表示。
她还透露，三个月前市场上椰子曾一度短缺，而10,000印尼盾每颗的价格现在已不可能再出现了。
